FREE ONLINE WATERCOLOUR CLASS
Get creative, learn a new skill and enjoy the effects of watercolour. Join us for a FREE online watercolouring class with the amazing Michelle, founder of Roxwell Press.
This free class will take place on Instagram Live on Saturday 13 March at 16:30 GMT for the duration of 1 hour. When you join in you can see Michelle teaching Mrs Bear and daughter Mia aka by her nickname Little Bear.
For those of you who are new to Instagram Live: You can see @bearsicecream going live in the top of Instagram, where the IG stories are. Just click on the round Bears logo. Easy Peasy!
Michelle and Bears go back a long time! Back in the days, when we just opened Bears Parlour W12 in 2016, we used to host very popular water colouring classes with Michelle.
We welcomed many of you and we now can only reminisce endlessly about the days when we could have our customers inside, pointing out their favourite toppings behind our glass counter and the Bear cubs (aka as amazing staff members who know nearly everything and anything about Bears ice cream) making Glaciers or cones with our super delish creamy soft serve. In the meantime also dishing out coffee, tea, hot chocolates, slushies or a Bears milkshakes.
For those of you who have visited our Parlour pre-pandemic know that we used to have big blackboard sort of communal table in the back of our parlour. A quiet place to enjoy your ice cream, gather your thoughts, just sit and relax. Catch up with a friend over a coffee. Or do absolutely nothing and just enjoy your delicious ice cream.
It was also a place where everyone gathered together and could happily doodle and chalk away. We used to run workshops here where all eager learners united, novices and seasoned artists alike. Michelle was one of the first artists who helped Bears to create this special place.
Because we miss this creative vibe so much, we kinda try to re-create something almost as good as the real live thing over Instagram for you.
What do you need to show up with to join the watercolour party on Saturday 13 March 16:30 GMT?
- Just your lovely self
- A device with Instagram.
- A brush
- Paint, just 3 tubs of Red, Blue and Yellow. It doesn't have to be watercolour paint, anything goes.
- Water colour paper
- A little pot of water
- And only 1 hour of your time
ust tune in on Saturday 13th March at 16:30 GMT with your kids (if you have them) or just without if you prefer and want some much needed time for yourself (wink, wink).
Michelle is going to teach us some easy skills to make lovely colourful paintings, its gonna be fun, rewarding & relaxing! Suitable for all aspiring artists between 7 - 99 or over!
