Sales Assistant (Bear Cub) Job Description

Interviews and training

  • Selection process will be by reviewing CV’s initially and followed by a conversation (phone, zoom or in person) to discuss general topics like availability, planned holidays, etc.
  • Before any in person contact a negative Covid-19 result must be shown upon arrival, lack of prove will be cause for dismissal.
  • Once offered the position, we organise some in-store trials and training.
  • Followed by a two week probation period after which the position will be confirmed or declined. 

Job Description

  • Welcoming and greeting customers.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Maintaining a fully stocked store.
  • Ascertaining customers’ needs and wants. Introducing them to the ‘Bears Parlour’ and guiding them by making recommendations.
  • Managing point-of-sale processes.
  • Actively involved in the receiving of new shipments.
  • Keeping up to date with product information.
  • Being able to accurately describe product features.
  • Following all company’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards. 
  • Cooking and baking.
  • Occasionally, helping with stock exchanges between stores.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards. 
  • Opening the store and doing the daily fresh products shopping.
  • Closing the store and cleaning the store according to the required standards.
